How To Organize Receipts
New Year - New Habits!
Let's make a plan for you to keep up with your receipts
Keeping all your receipts organized and in one place can help you track your expenses, save money on taxes, and make your accountant (yes, us!) very happy!
Next time you think about tossing a receipt in the trash or put it in some drawer somewhere, remember that receipt is a very important piece of financial information.
Here are some ways you can keep them organized:
If you have an accounting software like QuickBooks Online*, download the app! There is a receipt capture feature included with your subscription!
If you do not have a receipt capture feature with your accounting software, create a folder in your email, computer or Google Drive called "Receipts". When you are on the go, take a picture of your receipts and email them to yourself! Then move that email to your "receipts" folder or save the receipt in the folder in your computer. Organize them by month
Remember that receipts fade over time, so try to keep a digital copy!
